Visual Assessment Training Workshop

Collaborating with the Mountain Watershed Association, Marcellus Outreach Butler will sponsor a (Marcellus shale drilling) Visual Assessment Training Workshop designed to educate attendees about permit tracking, air and water pollution, safety issues and how to file a complaint with the proper regulatory authority. 

The Mountain Watershed Association will conduct the workshop as part of its Marcellus Citizen Stewardship Project, an outreach, assessment and monitoring initiative.  The Project provides citizens with tools and knowledge to responsibly monitor Marcellus shale development to aid in community and environmental protection.  Participants will learn to use their senses of sight, hearing and smell to identify potential impacts resulting from drilling operations.
