CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Professionals

 

In times of emergency or disaster, being prepared can mean the difference between life and death. There is no better time to learn lifesaving skills, such as CPR and First Aid, than the present. This month, the local American Red Cross is offering classes to help people do just that.

Each year, more than five million people learn how to save a life in American Red Cross training classes. People in Butler County can join the ranks of those everyday heroes by taking a class now.

The following classes will be offered in Butler this month.  The courses will be held at the Red Cross office, located at 312 Mercer Street in Butler.

  • Saturday, May 5; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; First Aid with Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED; $110
  • Saturday, May 5; 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED; $70
  • Monday, May 7; 6 to 9:30 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED
  • Monday, May 7; 6 to 9:30 p.m. AND Wednesday, May 9; 6 to 9:30 p.m.; First Aid with Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED; $110
  • Tuesday, May 15; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Professionals; $110
  • Wednesday, May 16; 6 to 9 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED Review; $55

To register for a nearby class, individuals here in Butler County and across the country need simply to call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit RedCross.org, where using a zip code, people can search for upcoming classes in their area.

Additionally, businesses, organizations and community groups can also arrange for private instruction from the Red Cross. Course fees benefit the programs and services of the American

Red Cross. To register, participants can visit RedCross.org to search upcoming course offerings. Individuals can also call to register at 1-800-RED-CROSS.
