CVE Makes Math Fun
The elementary school held a math night for fourth-grade students last week.
Dr. Rebecca Rockey, a teacher at Connoquenessing Valley Elementary, served as host for a fun math night for fourth-graders at the school. The event featured the assistance of students from Slippery Rock University who are majoring in elementary education.
During the event last week, the students played educational games and did other activities based on guidelines from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
The program was designed to help students review and prepare for the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment tests, which they are taking this week.
