An engineer who recently settled in Cranberry Township with his wife, Steed promised that residents would see more of him. He said he plans to run again for a spot on the township’s local government.

“I intend to be fully involved with my community and my neighborhood," he said. "And I’m not going anywhere.”

Skorupan said this would be his third and likely last term on the board.

“I want to thank Bruce and thank all the people who voted for us,” he said Tuesday evening.

The supervisors teamed up to run their re-election campaigns and had their names together on promotional materials. Skorupan added that he and Mazzoni spent hours one Saturday walking around the different neighborhoods and talking with residents. The duo also sent out mailing that emphasized their support and contribution to Cranberry Township’s comprehensive 25-year plan, which was designed with the township’s future growth in mind.

“We had a good turnout for walking the neighborhoods and a lot of support at the polls,” he said. “It was a good exercise in getting our message out to the citizens about what we’ve accomplished.”

Skorupan said that among those accomplishments is the township’s premier parks, below average tax rates and the quality of life that Cranberry residents enjoy.

“We’re very fortunate in Cranberry,” he said.
