Primary Election 2013: Seneca Valley School Board Results

Tim Hester secures both the Republican and Democratic nominations.

Seneca Valley School Board candidate Tim Hester is moving on to the general election in November.

Hester, who cross-filed in the race, won the both the Republican and Democratic nominations over fellow Cranberry resident Judi Rexford in Tuesday’s primary election.

Because he won on both tickets, Hester—barring a write-in vote campaign—should be victorious in the fall’s general election.

In the only contested race for Seneca Valley School Board, Hester and Rexford were both vying for the Cranberry Township East III and West V, Region 5 seat that’s being vacated by Eric Gordon.

Gordon, who was running for Cranberry Township’s Board of Supervisors, lost the Republican nomination Tuesday to candidate Bruce Hezlep.
