It's time to vote—again.

Today, residents in the 40th District will choose a candidate to fill the remaining term of former Sen. Jane Orie, who was  to 2 ½ to 10 years in prison after her March conviction of using her legislative staff to perform political work.

We at Cranberry Patch are reminding you to get out to the polls and vote in the special election.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The doesn't apply until November, but to prepare voters, officials at each polling place will be asking for a photo identification card.

While you don't have to produce one Tuesday, keep in mind that in the general election, having a photo ID won't be optional.
