1. Zoning Hearing Board Meeting on Freedom Road Appeal

More than a dozen homeowners plan to  at a zoning hearing board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the The homeowners have said their property no longer is suitable for homes due to traffic and commercial development over the years in the busy corridor. They dispute the original residential zoning of their properties, which permits single-family homes only and not businesses, saying that the zoning no longer applies to present-day conditions. The homeowners also challenge the validity of a district established in their neighborhood, saying it is too restrictive of development of their property.

UPDATE: This hearing will be opened this evening and immediately continued to 7:30 p.m. on April 23 at the request of the applicants.

3. Seneca Valley “Conversations with the Community”

Superintendent Tracy Vitale is continuing to have her “Conversations with the Community” talks. Vitale, who was will next meet with the public at 10 a.m. Saturday at the in Evans City. Vitale began meeting with residents for open discussions in November and will continue to hold meetings throughout the school year.

4. 2nd Life Prom Dress Sale

Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Admission to the sale is free. New and gently-worn formal dresses will be sold for $20 each. 

Shoes, wraps, jewelry and purses will also be on sale. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards are accepted at the event. Dressing rooms are available, and seamstresses will be on-site to provide free consultations and minor alterations.

5. St. Kilian Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show

Featuring Miss PA and Miss Teen PA, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The cost is $25 per person. Proceeds benefit the Second Century Campaign.
