2011 Results: Butler County Races
Incumbent Pinkerton and former commissioner McCarrier win Republican spots; incumbent Democrat Lokhaiser loses in commission race.
Butler County voters went for one incumbent county commissioner but rejected another Tuesday while choosing the candidates who will appear on the November general election ballot for two four-year terms on the commission.
Incumbent Commission Chairman Dale Pinkerton and William L. McCarrier, a businessman and former commissioner, were the two top vote-getters on the Republican ballot in Tuesday's primary election.
In November, they will face Tuesday's winners on the Democrat ballot, longtime political gadfly Jim Eckstein and youth care worker Jerry Johnston. Eckstein and Johnston defeated incumbent Commissioner James C. Lokhaiser for the Democrat nods.
