State Police Shut Down Saxonburg Meth Lab

One man was arrested after police found the lab inside a van.

State police at Butler have arrested a Saxonburg man accused of operating a methamphetamine lab from his home on Cherry Valley Road. 

Police said Justin Stackhouse, 31, had an active meth lab inside a van parked near his home on Cherry Valley Road.

During a search of Stackhouse's property on Tuesday, police also found liquid methamphetamine and other drug  paraphernalia.

Police said Butler County Children and Youth Services were called in after troopers found a young child living in the home.

Police had been investigating the lab, which they said was able to produce a consistent amount of methamphetamine for months.

Stackhouse is being held at Butler County Jail.
