Sandusky Found Guilty in Child Molestation Case

The former Penn State assistant football coach was found guilty on 45 of 48 counts.

Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was led from the Centre County Courthouse in handcuffs Friday night, after being found guilty on 45 of 48 counts of child sex abuse.

The Centre Daily Times, as well as WPXI, The Associated Press, The Huffington Post and numerous other local and national news organizations reported the news within minutes of the verdict's release.

Television shots of the courthouse showed a crowd outside cheering when the verdict was made public just after 10 p.m.

A sentencing hearing has not been scheduled, according to the report from Centre Daily Times.
