said a driver who had a seizure behind the wheel caused a two-car accident on Route 228 Wednesday.
Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said the 50-year-old Mars woman was driving around 6:45 p.m. near the entrance to the n Route 228 when she had the seizure. She crashed into a crosswalk sign before hitting another car that was turning into the Cranberry Commons shopping center.
Mascellino said the woman, who he declined to name, was taken by ambulance to UPMC in Pittsburgh. He had no further information on her condition.
