Report: Adams Township Police Officer Files Age Discrimination Lawsuit

Part-time officer James Davis says he wasn't promoted to fulltime because of his age.

A part-time police officer in Adams Township has filed a federal lawsuit claiming he wasn’t promoted to full-time status because of his age, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

James Davis, of Adams, filed the lawsuit Thursday. The 57-year-old said he has worked for the township for more than three decades and repeatedly has been passed over for full-time employment in favor of younger officers, the Trib reports.

Township solicitor Michael Gallagher declined comment on the lawsuit to the Trib.
