Police Investigate Incident Involving Teen in North Park

A 16-year-old girl is taken to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Allegheny County police are investigating after a 16-year-old girl was injured in North Park Monday evening, KDKA reports.

The teen was taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where she is being treated for head and leg injuries, according to KDKA. Police told the news station the girl is too upset to talk about what happened.

Police said they do not know how she was hurt because they have not spoken to the victim yet. Authorities said they are investigating all possibilities.

Search dogs were in the park to retrace the girl's steps, police said.

Authorities said a woman and her daughter found the teen near a tree just before 6 p.m. Monday night in North Park, according to WPXI.
