The case against Richard Bone began when a woman told therapists and police he'd initiated a relationship with her when she was 15, according to a criminal complaint.
After years of therapy, a 22-year-old woman told Northern Regional Police that a man more than two decades her senior had a sexual relationship with her when she was 15 years old, according to a criminal complaint.
Her allegations led police to charge Richard Bone, 46, formerly of Richland Township, with felony counts of statutory sexual assault; involuntary deviate sexual intercourse; aggravated indecent assault; unlawful contact with a minor; corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.
Bone also faces two misdemeanor counts of indecent assault. He now lives in Hampton.

His preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 6 before Magisterial District Judge Suzanne Blaschak. Police initially filed charges in October, but the hearing was postponed.
Bone was released from the Allegheny County Jail in late October on a $25,000 bond.

Northern Regional Police began investigating after a Pittsburgh Action Against Rape advocate contacted them. A woman who for years had been undergoing therapy at the PAAR facility wanted to file a police report, according to the criminal complaint.
Patch does not identify alleged victims of sexual assaults.
The woman told police Bone was a family acquaintance who started "courting" her in 2005, the complaint states.
She told police they engaged in sexual acts 25 to 35 times, mostly at the man's Richland home and a few times at an Avalon residence, according to court documents.
The woman told police Bone repeatedly told her he loved her and that they were involved in a relationship, according to the complaint states.
But the woman also said Bone told her she could not tell anyone about the relationship because he would get in trouble, according to the criminal complaint. The woman told police Bone was her first partner, the complaint states.
It is a felony offense for a person to engage in sexual intercourse with someone who is under age 16 if the defendant is four or more years older and the two are not married.
