Nearby: Brian Flesher Charged With String of Burglaries in Pine, Other Communities

Break-ins occurred in McCandless, Franklin Park, Ross, Pine, Ohio and Moon townships.

When Brian Flesher met with police at the beginning of December, he told them he wanted to get everything out in the open so he could begin to get help for his drug addiction, according to a criminal complaint.

"Everything" included burglaries at homes and a business in McCandless, Franklin Park, Ross, Pine, and Ohio townships, court documents state.

The 26-year-old Pittsburgh man now sits in the Allegheny County Jail, unable to post bail, facing a multitude of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy charges.

Flesher also is charged in Moon Township with stealing jewelry from a Shafer Road home.  

In nearly every burglary, Flesher kicked in a side or rear door to gain entry into the home; he told police he pawned or sold the stolen items, court documents state.

Flesher also told police he had a partner in some of the crimes—Garrett Lucas, 24, of Pittsburgh—who served as a lookout, according to the criminal complaints. Lucas also faces charges.

Pine

Flesher stole jewelry from two Pine Township homes and tried unsuccessfully to break into a third, according to a criminal complaint.

He admitted breaking into homes on Old State and Brennan roads in late November by kicking in doors to gain entry, police said.

Efforts to kick in the rear and side doors at the Manor Road house were unsuccessful because the doors were too strong, the complaint states..

Northern Regional Police were notified in December that Franklin Park Police had Flesher in custody and that he admitted to the Pine burglaries, the complaint states.

Flesher told police that co-defendant Garrett Lucas stayed in Flesher’s Jeep in the driveway during the Old State Road burglary and served as a lookout, police said.

Franklin Park

Flesher is charged with burglarizing Franklin Park homes and a business on Brandt School Road, Wexford Bayne Road, McDevitt Road and McAleer Road during November and December. 

Televisions, laptops, jewelry, charge cards, checkbooks, Social Security cards, medicine, money and vehicle keys were stolen, police said.

McCandless

Flesher is charged with burglarizing a McCandless home on Perrymont Road and stealing jewelry worth thousands of dollars on Nov. 26.

Ross

Flesher is charged with breaking into homes on Lucerene Avenue, Upper Arrowhead and Cardiff roads and taking jewelry, money and a laptop, according to court documents.

Ohio Township

Flesher is charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property for a Dec. 3 incident.
