FBI, McCandless Police Seek Information on Bank Robber

Man remains at large after holding up First National Bank Thursday morning, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and KDKA-TV.

A man who claimed he had a weapon fled with an undisclosed amount of cash Thursday after holding up the First National Bank branch in McCandless, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and KDKA-TV.

The man did not show a weapon after walking into the bank branch at 1701 Duncan Ave. at about 9:15 a.m., according to the Post-Gazette. The man demanded money in a note he handed to a teller, according to KDKA.

The man ran out of the bank with money and fled toward Sample Road in a red vehicle driven by a second person, according to KDKA.

Anyone with information about the holdup is asked to call 911, the FBI at 412-432-4000 or McCandless Police at 412-369-7992.
