District Court: Burglary, Theft and DUI Charges

The following people were charged and waived their scheduled Feb. 24 preliminary hearings before .

Jeremy Peter Danylo, 32, of Second Avenue, Koppel, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. report they responded to an alarm at about 2:50 a.m. Feb. 10 at the Williamsburg Cleaners on Haine School Road.

According to the criminal complaint, a window was broken out on the side of the building facing Freedom Road. There also was a small amount of blood on the doorjamb and on the broken glass.

At about 3:20 a.m. the business owner arrived to unlock the building’s side door. As officers were approaching the door, a man exited the building, setting off the alarm as he walked into the parking lot. The man, identified at Danylo, had blood on both his hands but refused treatment, the complaint said.

Police said Danylo’s blood damaged the cleaner’s carpet and floors. The doorjamb to the front door and the window also were broken. Danylo also attempted to disable the alarm system by taking out the backup battery and pulling the wires from the rear of the alarm panel. The total damage to the property is valued at $2,000, according to the criminal complaint.

Theft

Michael A. Randall, of Race Street, Emsworth, was charged with retail theft. According to the criminal complaint, a loss prevention employee at Costco in the Cranberry Square shopping plaza told Cranberry police that Randall, a seasonal employee, concealed two cameras valued at $805.56 and left the store without paying for them on Dec. 6. During an interview with police, Randall admitted the theft and said he sold the cameras to a pawnshop in Pittsburgh, the complaint said.

DUI

  • June E. Siembieda, 65, of Treesdale Drive, Cranberry was charged with driving under the influence and driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol. Cranberry police reported they were called at about 3:45 p.m. Jan. 5 to UMPC Passavant Cranberry for a collision near the hospital parking lot. The other driver in the accident said he was traveling north on Route 19 when Siembieda smashed into his car. He called police after he said Siembieda seemed intoxicated while they were exchanging insurance information. Police said Siembieda’s blood-alcohol level was 0.194 percent, exceeding the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
  • Aaron James Leddon, 24, of Gristmill Lane, Zelienople, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs and speeding. Cranberry police reported the car Leddon was driving hit the back of a stopped car on Route 19 at about 5:45 p.m. Dec. 13. The impact caused the other car to bump into the car in front of it. Police said Leddon’s blood-alcohol level was 0.069 percent. The blood test also showed he had THC, which is found in marijuana, in his system.
  • William Douglas Miller, 44, of Collingham Circle, Cranberry, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving. Cranberry police reported Miller almost rear-ended an officer’s unmarked car while the cruiser was stopped at a red light at about 9:15 p.m. Dec. 29 on Route 19 near Old Route 19. The truck Miller was driving swerved to the right to pass the officer and avoided hitting the cruiser by inches, according to the criminal complaint. Police said Miller’s blood-alcohol level was 0.249 percent, exceeding the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
  • James Edward Fuller, 43, of Chelsey Court, Cranberry, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol and driving an unregistered vehicle. Cranberry police initiated a traffic stop on Fuller at about 12:30 a.m. Feb. 19 on Rochester Road near the Laurelwood apartment complex after an officer recognized Fuller’s truck. According to the criminal complaint, police wanted Fuller for failure to appear in court for a prior DUI. The registration of the truck Fuller was driving also expired last September. After Fuller was pulled over, officers said they could tell Fuller had been drinking alcohol, the complaint said. Police said Fuller’s blood-alcohol level was 0.21 percent, exceeding the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
