District Court: Assault and DUI Charges

The following people were charged and waived their scheduled Aug.17 preliminary hearings before

Justin Mark Glasgow, 21, of Sunnydale Drive, Cranberry, was charged with simple assault, making terroristic threats and harassment.

According to the criminal complaint filed by , officers were dispatched to Sunnydale Drive at about 1 a.m. Aug. 13 after it was reported Glasgow assaulted his father during a dispute. Glasgow also shoved his mother and threatened kill her, according to the complaint.

Assault

Donald Scott Burke, 39, of Norberry Court, Cranberry, was charged with simple assault, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Cranberry police, Burke assaulted his brother at about 1 a.m. on May 29 during a dispute in his brother’s apartment. Police said Burke had a wooden “one-hitter” container with suspected marijuana inside as well as a plastic baggie containing marijuana in his pants pockets.

DUI

  • Richard L. Harr, 66, of Laurel Lake Drive, Hudson, OH, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding. According to the criminal complaint filed by Cranberry Police, Harr was involved in a collision on Route 19 near Piazza Plaza at about 3:30 on May 23. Officers from Northern Regional Police Department also were looking for Harr, who was a suspect in an earlier hit and run from the same day, the complaint said.  Harr refused a blood alcohol test, according to the criminal complaint.
  • Christopher Lee Monroy, 29, of Capri Drive, Corpus Christi, Tex., was charged with driving under the influence, failure to stop at a red signal and disregarding traffic lanes. According to the criminal complaint filed by Cranberry police, Monroy was driving on Route 19 at about 2:30 a.m. July 27 when he turned left on a steady red traffic signal. Monroy refused a blood alcohol test, according to the criminal complaint.
  • Charles Curtis Raeford, Jr., 51, of Rose Drive, Cranberry, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol, failure to keep right and obedience to traffic-control devices. According to the criminal complaint filed by Cranberry police, crossed the double yellow line after turning off Peter Road onto Franklin Road at about 2:30 a.m. June 3. According to the criminal complaint, Raeford’s blood-alcohol level was 0.168 percent, exceeding the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
