Crime Blotter: DUI and Drug Charges

A North Hills man is in Butler County Jail awaiting formal arraignment on drug charges after state Attorney General narcotic agents arrested him as part of an undercover drug operation.

Joshua Adam Seritti, 23, of West Ingomar Road is charged with two counts of possessing a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to deliver, two counts of conspiracy and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility.

Police said that on February 25 a confidential informant met Seretti at his home before following him to the Red Roof Inn in Cranberry to buy drugs from people staying at the hotel. The informant was given $9,390 in official funds, which was used to purchase 1,832 bags of heroin, according to the complaint.

On March 13, the informant again met with Seretti at his home, and the two drove to the Red Roof Inn in Cranberry and then to the Motel 6 in Marshall Township to purchase drugs. According to the complaint, the informant was given $9,000 in official funds, which was used to buy 2,444 bags of heroin.

A Pennsylvania State Police crime lab report showed the total weight of the heroin from the Feb 25 purchase was 28 grams. The weight from the March 13 purchase was 23.3 grams.

After his preliminary hearing June 17, Seretti was unable to post a $50,000 bond and was taken to Butler County Jail.

Marijuana Possession

Michael Menzock, 19, of Shallowood Circle, Cranberry, will be formally arraigned July 26 on charges of marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cranberry police said Menzock was the passenger in a parked car that police searched on Mystic Pine Trail about 2 a.m. Jan 2. During the search, police found a clear plastic container of marijuana and a glass pipe used for smoking marijuana.

DUI

  • Clifford John Reiser, 47, of Glen Eden Road will be formally arraigned Aug. 22 on charges of driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol and failure to stop at a stop sign. Cranberry Township police said Reiser drove through a stop sign at the intersection of Robinhood and Sherwood Drive about 11 p.m. April 15. His blood alcohol content was 0.14 percent according to the complaint. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08 percent.

  • Alex M. Carey, 28, of Glenbrook Drive, Cranberry, will be formally arraigned Aug. 22 on charges of driving under the influence, driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol, speeding and disregarding traffic lanes after he crashed his truck into a utility pole on Graham School Road about 4 p.m. March 10. Cranberry police said the truck pushed over an Armstrong Utility-owned pole. The pole broke into pieces after hitting the ground. A mailbox also was damaged. Carey was uninjured, according to the complaint. Police said his blood alcohol content was 0.34 percent. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08 percent.

  • Ronald Lee Galat, 41, of Herman Road, Fombell, will be formally arraigned Aug. 22 on charges of driving under the influences, driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol, driving an unregistered vehicle and disregarding traffic lanes.Cranberry police said that about 10 p.m. May 2 Galat crossed the center line on Freedom Road. After a search of the vehicle, police said they found two empty bottles of vodka. Galat’s blood alcohol content was 0.222 percent, according to police. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08 percent.

  • Andrea Mae Warrick, 46, of Laurel Drive, Cranberry, will be formally arraigned Aug. 22 on charges of driving under the influence, driving under the influence at the highest rate of alcohol, two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disregarding traffic lanes. Cranberry police stopped Warrick about 2:30 a.m. April 24 after she was seen driving erratically on Route 19 and Rochester Road. Officers said they observed marijuana and a glass pipe used for smoking marijuana in the car. Warrick’s blood alcohol content was 0.202 percent, according to police. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08 percent.
