Update: Power Restored in Cranberry After Downed Wires

More than 450 people were without power.

Fire and police crews responded to the scene of downed wires at the intersection of Route 19 and Route 228 in Cranberry at about 11 a.m. Friday.

Traffic signals also were not functioning along Route 228, according to the township.

Cranberry Patch readers reported heavy traffic in the area.

A Penn Power outage map showed more than 450 people in Cranberry were briefly without power. Readers Kristin Burkhiser said on the Cranberry Patch Facebook page that there was no electricity from Target to the Lowe’s Home Improvement store on Route 228.

Power was restored to the area around noon, according to Penn Power.

Power was also out in the Ogle Station on Rt. 19.
