With the solemn anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy approaching, Cranberry Township is paying its respects.
The township public safety services are hosting a ceremony to honor 9/11 first responders and victims.
The ceremony will be at Park Fire Station on Route 19. Last year, the fire company erected a memorial of old debris from the World Trade Center on the same site.
Firefighter John Pristas will play taps during the times each plane crashed as well as the times the World Trade Center buildings fell.
The fire company will raise the American flag from its tower truck on Wednesday at 6:00 a.m.
