Cranberry Police Continue to Investigate Seven Fields Jewelry Heist

Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said investigators are exploring all possibilities.

Cranberry Police continue to investigate last week’s armed robbery at Moses Jewelers in Seven Fields.

“We are looking at all possibilities,” Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said Monday.

On July 2, four to five men entered the jewelry store on Route 228 at about 2 p.m. and ordered everyone to get down on the floor.

The suspects broke the glass jewelry display cases in the store and emptied the contents into bags. Numerous watches and rings were taken during the robbery, police said.

A value for the items has been assessed in excess of $250,000. No one was injured in the robbery.

Mascellino said investigators are exploring whether there is a possible connection to the jewelry robbery that took place in May in the parking lot outside Grafner Brothers Jewelry Store during daylight hours in nearby Pine Township.

“There is nothing definitive right now,” he said.

In that incident, three masked men robbed a jewelry salesman in the Pine Tree Shoppes on Perry Highway.

The suspects, who were wearing black, took off in a vehicle after the robbing the salesman. No arrests have been made yet.

Northern Regional Police Chief Robert T. Amann said officers are working with the FBI on the continued investigation.

Cranberry Police have released video surveillance footage of the suspects in the Seven Fields robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-776-5180, ext. 5.
