Kenneth Vogel was last seen after his Aug. 21 shift.

Butler City Police tonight located the bodies of a Cranberry cab driver  who had been missing since last week and a second man in a parked truck.

Police had been searching for Kenneth Vogel, 56, who was last known to be alive around 11 p.m. Aug. 21 after completing his shift as a driver with Cranberry Taxi.  He was last known to be driving a 2001 black Chevy S-10 truck with Pennsylvania license plate YFS-4563, a black ladder rack and silver toolbox in the bed and "Vogel Contracting" signs on both doors.

His wife reported him missing. She told police her husband suffered from depression and had not taken his medication since his disappearance.

After viewing a news report about Vogel's disappearance, a Butler resident contacted police around 5:20 p.m. and said Vogel's truck was parked nearby.  Police checked out the truck, which was parked at 135 Wyle Ave., and saw a body on the floor.

Officers forced their way into the truck and found two dead men inside, police said. The second man's name has not been released, but police said he was 55.

Police said they believe both men died of drug overdoses, although a cause of death will not be determined until an autopsy and toxicology tests are completed. Investigators said they do not suspect foul play contributed to the men's deaths.

Police describe Vogel as 6-feet tall with reddish/blond wavy hair. He was last seen wearing white shorts with a black stripe down the side and a gray T-shirt under a black and blue shirt. He was wearing leather sandals.

Anyone with information about the deaths is asked to call Butler Police at 724-787-7743.
