Butler Motorcyclist Dies in Connoquesnessing Township Collision

Michael Vinroe, 24, failed to stop at a stop sign, according to state police.

A 24-year-old Butler man was killed Thursday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a commercial truck in Connoquesnessing Township.

According to state police, Michael Vinroe was driving south on Prospect Road at about 1:15 p.m. when he ran a stop sign at the intersection with Lower Harmony Road and struck the truck.

Vinroe was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the truck was not injured, police said.
