Cold cap therapy for cancer patients

Most clients undergoing cancer treatment have hair loss until now! After doing some research I found a new therapy that is being used to treat Cancer patients for hair loss and wanted to share the information. Cold cap therapy, or scalp cooling, prevents toxic drugs from entering into the papilla cell, which is where the life of the hair begins. Since Chemo drugs cause the body to heat up and this in turn accelerate hair loss, bringing the scalp temperature down to almost freezing causes follicles to constrict and prevents most of the toxins from getting into the papilla bulbs. The cap is worn throughout chemotherapy and for a short time afterward to give the liver time to filter the toxins from the body. What an amazing option for cancer patients to retain their hair. The FDA  is still pending approval on the cap, however patients get around that by privately renting cold caps and using them in clinics with the aid of personal helpers. For more information on Cold Cap Therapy visit The Rapunzel Project. The Rapunzel Project aims to help cancer treatment centers pay for cold cap therapy necessities so chemotherapy patients can keep their hair during treatment.
