Research is happening in our community - CPS-3

This year only, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Pittsburgh will have a new and historic opportunity to get involved in the fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society is looking for participants to enroll in and promote the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) at Making Strides on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 from 7:30am - 11:30am at the North Shore Riverfront Park Great Lawn (located on North Shore Drive, across from Heinz Field and adjacent to Jerome Bettis' Grille 36).

Cancer Prevention Study-3 will help researchers at the American Cancer Society and around the world better understand what causes cancer and how to prevent it. There is a roll for everyone to get involved with CPS-3, you can:

ENROLL! Individuals who are willing to commit to the study long term, are between the ages of 30 65, and who have never been diagnosed with cancer, you can enroll at our event! (Individuals who choose to enroll do not have to be registered Strides participants).

PROMOTE! Tell everyone you know about this one-time, historic opportunity to make a difference in the fight against cancer. Survivors and others who are not eligible can promote CPS-3 and ask friends and family to sign up in their honor.

EDUCATE! Tell friends and family around the country to visit www.cancer.org/cps3 or call 888-604-5888 to obtain more information about this study and how they can become involved in their own local community.
