Is the child seat in your car installed properly? Is it compatible with your vehicle? Is it the right size for your child?

If not, it could become a safety hazard instead of a life-saving device. But you can learn the right way to install your child seat or booster in your specific make of car, free of charge.

A workshop sponsored by Cranberry Township Police, Cranberry EMS, and the Pennsylvania Traffic Injury Prevention Project is being held on Saturday, May 5 in the Rt. 19 Park Fire Station from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Certified inspectors will check your child seat and show you the correct way to install it in your vehicle in about 30 minutes. You'll need to call ahead to make an appointment.

To schedule your inspection/installation session, contact the Cranberry Police Department's reception desk, 724-776-5180, ext. 5 during normal business hours.
