The Adams Area Fire District (AAFD) will hold the AAFD Herb Kaufman Memorial 5K Run/Walk at Adams Township Community Park in Mars, PA. Organizers are also seeking sponsors, volunteers and in-kind donations. Sponsorship and Entry Forms can be found by clicking here.
The race is a major fundraising event for the Adams Area Fire District and honors the memory of a dedicated community member and service leader, Mr. Herb Kaufman.
A new award category will be introduced at this race. Fire departments are invited to compete as a team and battle it out with neighboring fire departments to stake claim to the first-ever Kaufman Cup! The winning team will be presented with the special trophy during the post-race awards ceremony. Organizers developed the award in hopes of building camaraderie and healthy competition between local departments and to start an annual tradition that brings fellow firefighters together to have some fun while focusing on teambuilding, physical training and firefighter wellness.
