River City 6 Set to Perform Free Concert at Fountain Park Church

Six members of the River City Brass Band will perform a FREE concert at Fountain Park Church on Sunday, Nov. 18.

We are pleased to announce that six members of The River City Brass Band will be doing a FREE concert here at FPC on Sunday, Nov. 18, beginning at 4 p.m.

Headed up by FPC worship leader and River City Brass Band member Jordan Winkler, the concert will highlight the great musical talents that we have here in our own western Pennsylvania community.

They will be playing a variety of well-known music including classical, jazz, musical, pop, patriotic and dixieland. There will also be CDs for sale and a free will offering will be taken to support The Lighthouse Ministries here in Butler County.

In addition to great music selections, concert attendees will be able to shop through items provided by Ten Thousand Villages. The local shop, which is on Forbes Avenue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, is one of the world's largest fair trade organizations in our area.

This independent, nonprofit 501c3 organization provides an opportunity for skilled artisans from other countries to have access to a sustainable North American market for their handmade goods.

Items such as jewelry, art, textiles, serve-ware and personal accessories represent the diverse cultures of the artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

The sale of items through Ten Thousand Villages helps to provide these people with much-needed housing, healthcare and food so that they can provide for their families.

Doors open at Fountain Park at 3:30 p.m. It is open seating. Please join us at 8533 Peters Road in Cranberry Township.
