Rent is the Pulitzer prize winning update of the opera "La Boheme" set in New York City's East Village. In the words of it's author, "Rent is about a community celebrating life, in the face of death and AIDS, at the turn of the century." We meet a group of modern day Bohemians on Christmas Eve and follow them through a year of life, love, and loss. A touching, funny, and provocative look at the modern life set to a pulsing rock score.
