Trouble with the Curve

Trouble with the Curve
Friday - Sunday, January 4 - 6
Starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams & Justin Timberlake

Shake off those post-holiday blues with this heartwarming story surrounding America's past-time on The Strand's 25' screen with HD digital projection and 45 speaker surround-sound.

Eastwood is an aling baseball scout who takes his daughter (Adams) on one last scouting trip. She puts her career on hold to travel with him in the hopes of reconciling their estranged relationship.

Trouble with the Curve is the first film since 1993's In the Line of Fire that Eastwood starred in, but did not direct. After the 2008 release of Gran Torino, he announced that he would retire from acting, but would continue to direct. The filmmakers managed to convince him otherwise.

Despite a long and illustrious career, this is the first 'baseball' movie for Eastwood. This film also marks the directorial debut of of Robert Lorenz, a long-time collaborator with Eastwood in such areas as producing and assistant directing.

While not a runaway blockbuster, the movie garnered solid reviews, including this quote from Pete Hammond of Box Office Magazine, "Clint Eastwood and a superb cast hit it out of the park with Trouble with the Curve, a great entertainment filled with heart, humor, family drama and fantastic acting".
