Bone Marrow Donor Registry Drive

 Cranberry  See map

A bone marrow donor registry drive will be held in the Senior/Teen Center of the Cranberry Township Municipal Building to help promote the Be The Match Foundation and grow the registry. While there, individuals will be educated in the importance of bone marrow donations and the benefits of becoming a donor; donated marrow is used treat patients with leukemia, sickle cell anemia, lymphoma, and many other afflictions. Once informed, the potential donor is then given the opportunity to join the bone marrow donor registry and save a life. All that is required of the individual, at the event, is to fill out a short questionaire and receive a cheek swab to be tested for potential matches. There is no binding commitment and no fee (all costs of testing and additional fees will be covered by the funds raised by fundraising). Consequently, donations will be much appreciated!
