This is a mandatory orientation meeting at the Butler County extension office. Attendance is required to be considered for the program. At this time we give an overview of the program and volunteer opportunities, administer the pre-test and conduct brief one-on-one interviews.

Master Gardener Training

• Classes begin Thursday, October 3 and continue until February 27. 
  
• There will be no class on November 28 or December 26 in observance of the holidays.  
  
• The final exam will be administered on March 6. (This class schedule may be extended due to unforeseen weather cancellations.)
• The cost for the Penn State Master Gardener program is $175. The fee covers the training manual, printing and program supplies, name badges, and IT support. The fee is payable once you have been accepted into the program and will be collected at the first class session on October 1.
