AUDITIONS for the play “The Women” are this Saturday November 16, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday November 17, 1:00 pm to 3:30 p.m. at Comtra Theater Route 19, Cranberry Township. There are 35 female speaking roles (all but one 16+ years) and no male roles. The play is a comedy/drama of manners by Clare Boothe Luce. First produced on Broadway in 1936, the play was made into a movie in 1939; a musical film (The Opposite Sex) in 1956; and a contemporary film remake in 2008. This version will be set in the 1930’s.
