Today, April 13, officially marks the opening day of trout season.
The regular fishing season opens at 8 a.m. and runs 24 hours a day through Labor Day, according to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.
Fish and Boat Commission officials spent about six weeks stocking trout waters with brook, brown and rainbow in preparation.

Locally, trout can be found at North Park. If you're in need of fishing supplies, stop by Dick's Sporting Goods or the North Park Sports Shop, 897 East Ingomar Road.
