THIS is Why You Should Never Bet Against the Steelers

We at Patch wonder if has learned his lesson yet.

The founding pastor of Discovery Christian Church in Cranberry Township (the church also has campuses on the South Side and in Troy Hill) is a native of Colorado.

That's right, he's a Broncos fan.

For some reason, Salva continues to bet against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He's paid dearly for that gamble -- and not just once.

In 2006, Salva acquired a tattoo of the Steelers' logo after betting the Broncos would win the AFC Championship game. The tattooing of the Steelers emblem was recorded by KDKA-TV and can be found here. 

In 2009, after he again bet against the Steelers and lost, Salva agreed to have his legs waxed -- in front of his entire congregation.

Bryan Gratton, Discovery's adult ministries pastor, who also bleeds black and gold, was kind enough to send us video of that hair-raising experience.

And, with the once again on the road to the , we just have to wonder: Is Salva finally opting for a bit of caution? Gratton said the Discovery team has yet to decide on a bet this year.
