Route 8 Will Go Down to Single Lanes for Next Two Weekends

Work planned for bridge over Bakerstown Road.

Traffic on Route 8 in Richland Township will be reduced to a single lane in each direction during the next two weekends, July 8-11, and 15-18, according to PennDOT.

Single-lane traffic will occur from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday for both weekends, as long as the weather allows work to proceed.

Crews will be installing expansion dams on the bridge that carries Route 8 over Bakerstown Road.
