Though Mad Mex is an American-Mexican-PanAsian fusion, I vote Mad Mex for the area. South of the Border? Really?

I'm sorry you guys, but only in PA could Patrone's pass for "authentic Mexican." went there once, never again. So dark you can't even hardly see the menu, tacky decor, blaring stereotypical music, and the food was way below mediocre. And the sopapilla I was served, what the heck was that? A fried tortilla drizzled with chocolate syrup is NOT a sopapilla! Can't believe that place is winning this poll.
Janet Butler August 2, 2012 at 05:25 am
LisaP: I don't think you are talking about the same Patron restaurant? Nothing you said accurately describes it. I do not like Mexican food, but this is the only place I like because the food is very fresh and authentic! And it is definitely not dark; very bright and colorful and fun place to eat, especially with a large group!
Frank August 2, 2012 at 10:29 am
Lisa, give them another shot. Patron's is winning the poll because the food is good, the service is good and the margarita's are the best in town. Ya, the decor may be "bright" but who cares about the decor if the food is that good?
