Not Again! Another Winter Storm Watch in Effect

Heavy snow predicted for Thursday night.

Get your bread and milk now. Another winter storm is on the way.

This afternoon the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch.

It said lingering pockets of freezing rain will end as temperatures climb above freezing this evening. The rain will change to snow Thursday night, the weather service said.

Heavy snow -- six inches or more -- is expected between Thursday evening and Friday evening, the announcement said.

Commuting Friday morning  is expected to be difficult and power outages are possible, the weather service said.

A winter storm watch means there is the potential for snow accumulation of more than six inches.

By the way, a flood advisory continues for the Ohio River. The Mon Wharf in Pittsburgh is expected to remained flooded through the weekend.
