Drivers Face I-79 Lane Restrictions Wednesday

The restrictions take place during early morning hours in Marshall Township.

PennDOT announced there will be a single lane restriction on northbound lanes of I-79 in Marshall Township early Wednesday morning.

Restrictions will take place between 3 and 5 a.m in the northbound section of the I-79 bridge over Mingo Road between Exits 73 and 75. PennDOT said all ramps and exits would remain open.

According to a press release, PennDOT crews will be working on part of a $10 million project that will include deck replacements, latex overlays, expansion dam replacements, substructure repairs, paving and other improvements on numerous I-79 bridges.

The project is slated to be completed in fall 2011.
