Construction Alert! New Turning Lanes Being Added to Route 19 Near Border of Cranberry, Marshall

There will be traffic restrictions in place throughout July.

Improvement work is set to begin Monday in Marshall Township at the intersection of Route 19 and Freeport Road in Marshall Township near the border with Cranberry.

Motorists should expect lanes to be closed in the intersection area from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays through mid-July.

Crews with A. Folino Construction Company, Inc., will be adding a right-turn lane from northbound Route 19 to Freeport Road, two left-turn lanes from Freeport Road to southbound Route 19 and a turn lane from Freeport road to northbound Route 19.

Other improvements include new traffic signals, signage, curbing, ADA ramps, drainage and widening.

The construction company is under a contract with Marshall to conduct the work. PennDOT is not involved with the project.
