Thank You for a Great Year!

I know we have a beautiful diversity among our friends and respect that, so, Happy Holidays to all our Harmony in the House friends. Thank you for all of your support this past season..sold out shows, great performers, loving audience.

Don’t forget that Harmony celebrates New Years Eve with many events sponsored by the Harmony Parks and Recreation Board. We will be opened all day and hosting an Open Stage… so, if you want to play a few tunes let me know at HITH@zoominternet.net  and I will schedule a time for you to play. All the shops will remain opened until the ball drops in the square at 6 PM, followed by fireworks. You can either grab a bite to eat from one of the vendors around town or have a nice family dinner after the fireworks.

This was another amazing year for us. We brought back some old friends, like Phil Lee, the Ploughshare Poets, the Early Mays, Tommy Womack, ellen cherry, Tony Denikos, Malcolm Holcombe, and Todd Burge. We also added some new faces, Eric Taylor, Kim Richey, John Lilly, the Honeycutters, Bejae Fleming, Irene Kelly & you never know who might end up on stage, like Gary Talley, lead guitarist and founding member of the Box Tops, Heather Kropf & Bard Yoder, Jeff DeSantis, Ben Valekek, & Logan McCurdy, and for the September Music Festival, Danny Kalb, Billy Price, the Rowan-Cunningham Band & many fine local groups. Thank you to all of you who came to support them and to all of them who journeyed out our way.

We are humbled by the folks that have agreed to come by for 2013- here’s the calendar (we are saving July to see if we can get Malcolm back). There are a number of new faces…the Womack Family Band, a very hot, young band that has already gotten some “Sirius” air play. Greg Trooper, an accomplished singer/songwriter you can also find on Sirius, Bejae Fleming is coming back and bringing one of her old Iowa favorites to HITH, Chad Elliot, former Pittsburgh area resident, Dana Cooper will be coming through as will Steve Katz, founding member of the Blues Project and, along with Al Kooper, Blood Sweat & Tears. Returning this year, Eric Taylor, a special show with Kim Richey on a Tuesday night, Roy Book Binder, Eric Brace & Peter Cooper, Heather Kropf & Brad Yoder, and, of course, the Ploughshare Poets for a St. Paddy’s Day show & the Early Mays for Christmas.
