From Oysters to Musicians
Just back from Cape Cod and here was the important learning of the week; all oysters are not equal. Who would have guessed that the salt in the water, bay side/ ocean side, temperature of the water, & beds grown in would all affect the taste/ tenderness/ quality of the raw oyster? Here’s a partial pecking list:
Chatham Oysters $2.20 each

Dennis Oysters, raised by the friend of a couple from Boston sitting next to us- support him the plead…he took a risk and they want him to succeed
And, finally, if you are at the Port Restaurant in Harwich Port between 5-6PM the $1.00 Oysters are from Yarmouth. You can tell the difference but they were darned good anyway. (Oh, and in the fish market, unshucked, $1.29 each with no provenance.
Come spend some time with us and three young men from the surrounding area displaying their art and presenting their craft. You can tell the difference, but they will all be darned good anyway.

Please come out and share this evening with three talented, young, singer-songwriters from Butler, Beaver, and Allegheny Counties. It is our pleasure to open the stage and the venue to such dedicated voices of our present and our future.
As always, we’ll have some snacks on hand. Lately, as the sense of community grows, folks have been bringing and sharing some treats, and we appreciate that. Thank you!
