Second Day of 100 Days of Caring by Cranberry Girl Scouts

Cranberry Daisy Troop 26538 makes Christmas cards for Soldiers in Qatar.

On Monday, Dec. 5, the Daisy Girl Scout Troop 26538 made cards for soldiers.

Daisy Troop 26538 made Christmas cards and some decorations for soldiers stationed in Qatar.

Girl Scout leader Sue Dugan said "One of my co-workers was deployed there for six months and she returned in June. She talked about how drab it was there and how much they enjoyed receiving Easter cards when she was there."

The Daisy Scouts hope the decorations will brighten things up and help the soldiers enjoy the Christmas season.

The soldier group is a supply unit for airplane parts and they work in a tent inside an airplane hanger in the heat. The Daisy troop made little penguin decorations for them as well.
