65th Day of 100 Days of Caring

Brownie Troop 24131 spreads love through Northway Church Food Bank for 100 Days of Caring.

Cranberry Area Girl Scout Brownie Troop 24131 made chocolate-covered pretzels for the Northway Church Food Bank for the 65th day of 100 Days of Caring on Feb. 7.

Back in September, the troop collected 700 stuffed animals to give to the food bank. At that time, the director informed the girls of their special needs during a tour of the facility.

The Brownies thought it would be a good idea to make something that the children of these families could give to their parents for Valentine's Day and made 30 bags of chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles. They delivered them a few days later on Feb. 8.

"You can imagine how hard it was for the girls to make such yummy treats knowing that they were not for them," said the Brownie's troop leader. "They found great joy in wanting to bless somebody else in our community."
