This place has definitely taught me a lesson. Just because the word “Christian” is used in the name, does not make it such.
I disagree with any positive review. I pulled my child out after a very brief time. Why you ask??? Because while picking up my child, I got to hear OWNER using profanity in front of me and the children. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE IN EVERY LEVEL!!! I was noticing prior to this things that were concerning to me and when I would attempt to discuss them, would get dismissed. I should be allowed to discuss any concern what-so-ever regarding my child and they should be more than willing to listen to these concerns and not be forced to feel as though I am wrong by doing so. Then there was the lack of consistency. We all know as parents, one of the many things our children need is consistency. Children depend on that as a form of security. And this was blown off as well with a response of “They don’t care who’s here or what they do during the day, they just want to have fun.” Sorry, wrong answer…
So I got on-line shortly after to start researching different child care facilities and pre-school programs. This then led me to the state web-site of childcare facilities inspection reports. It appears as though profanity is considered the norm in this center since it was done IN FRONT OF THE STATE INSPECTOR! So me overhearing it on that day was obviously more than just a slip.
Here is the link to the most current state inspection:

There are many other violations, that, had I been aware of prior to taking him there, I would have chosen differently. I thought the “home like” setting would be nice, but this was just way beyond relaxed. Profanity in a childcare setting is UNACCEPTABLE! No exceptions.
After pulling my child out I researched much more extensively and found another program that has true Christian values and even has an accredited pre-k program.
I would encourage all parents to go to the state website and look at the inspection report of the facility you are considering. Are the violations listed something you are willing to overlook. No place is perfect, but there are some violations that simply can not be overlooked and this is a great resource to see things that you may not have considered when looking at a child care facility for the first time.
I apologize if I sounded as though I was ranting on a soapbox, I don’t make it the norm review things online but after this experience, I really feel that it needs to be heard, especially when parents are entrusting a facility to care for their most precious little ones. And I will work my way to every forum possible if I have to for parents to have the knowledge that I didn’t have when I first started.
