Anthony’s Coal-Fired Pizza

An Anthony’s Coal-Fired Pizza is slated to be one of the tenants in the Cranberry Crossroads West development under construction now next to the La-Z-Boy furniture store on Route 228.

The restaurant will be located at the end of the 12,106 square foot, multi-tenant space building.

Founded in 2002 by Florida-based restaurateur Anthony Bruno, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza features “well-done” pizzas, wings and other Italian dishes cooked in an 800-degree coal-burning oven.

The company, which counts former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino as a partner, now has 40 restaurants in six states. In 2012, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza locations also opened in Monroeville and Robinson Township. A location also recently opened in McMurray.

The restaurant in Cranberry is scheduled to open in January 2014.

Completely Polished

A “nail bar” offering natural nail services and pedicures, Completely Polished will have a room for birthday parties, girls night outs and bridal showers.

Locally owned by a Cranberry Township resident, Completely Polished is located in the Cranberry Gardens Plaza, near Monte Cello’s, on Route 19. It is scheduled to open this fall.

The IceBox Creamery & Café

Located at the former Ryan’s Red Box Deli on Old Freedom Road and Nicklas Drive, The IceBox Creamery & Café will feature homemade ice cream, ice cream cakes, baked goods and high-end coffee.

The former deli, which is decorated in the Neapolitan colors of pink, white and brown, also will offer birthday parties in the café.

The IceBox is tentatively scheduled to open later this year.

Home2 Suites by Hilton

Located just below the Westinghouse Electric Company headquarters off Route 228, a Home2 Suites by Hilton is under construction at the intersection of Longtree Way and Cranberry Woods Drive.

Described on the Hilton website as a “hip, extended stay hotel experience,” the four-story, 79-room building will feature all suites, with a small breakfast area in each room. There would be no restaurants or bars inside the hotel.
