Take a Look Inside: New Giant Eagle GetGo

The gas station and convenience store celebrated its grand opening Thursday with an autograph signing by Penguins Penguins player Pascal Dupuis.

The new Giant Eagle GetGo gas station along Route 228 in Cranberry celebrated its grand opening Thursday with food, music—and a Pittsburgh Penguin.

Left winger Pascal Dupuis signed autographs at the store for more than an hour Thursday afternoon. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman also will make an appearance at the station from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.

Earlier Thursday, Giant Eagle celebrated the location’s opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Customers inside the 5,500 square-foot location Thursday were pleased by the store’s offerings, which include subs, Angus burgers, breakfast sandwiches, sushi prepared on-site, salads and wraps. There’s also an extensive coffee bar.

“It’s great. It has a lot of different things compared to the one in Seven Fields,” Adams Township resident Fred Matta said in reference to the smaller GetGo located in the neighboring borough.
