A McCandless woman has been awarded $399,706 by an Allegheny County jury after she slipped on a freshly waxed floor while working at the McIntyre Square K-Mart in 2008, the Tribune Review reports.

According to her attorney, Karen Troy, 55, fractured her back and has been unable to work for more than two years. Troy had been stocking shelves on Oct. 17, 2008 when she slipped and fell, the Trib reported.

The lawsuit said an employee of A-Li Quality Services, of Parma, Ohio, was waxing the floor and failed to post notice that the floor was slick.
