The Cranberry Township board of supervisors approved the following at their regular meeting Thursday:

Addition to the Regency Apartments

Officials approved a three-story, 19,5000 square-foot addition to the on Rolling Road.

Regency provides community-based, affordable housing for seniors citizens. The addition will add 30 units to the building.

Supervisors also gave approval for a 2,794 square-foot to be located at the intersection of Graham Park Drive with Rochester Road in the BelleVue Park neighborhood.

Although the area is zoned residential, a "Traditional Neighborhood Development" overlay created by the township allows for developments like the bank in the area. A similar overlay also is in place for a portion of near the Freedom Square shopping center.

Under Cranberry's streetscape ordinance, the bank is required to have extensive landscaping, including sidewalks, streetlights and benches.

The bank, which will sit on a 1.3-acre lot, also will have a drive-thru lane.

Giant Eagle gets liquor license

Six-packs are on the way for the on Route 19 in Cranberry Township after supervisors gave approval for a lThursday night.

The beer would be sold at a café located inside the store. Customers could purchase individual bottles or cans with a meal, or pick up a six-pack to go. Hours would be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Bob Sandonato, general manager for the Giant Eagle, has said he hopes to start selling beer by summer.
